Environmental Benefits

The Dry Lube system offers a range of unique environmental benefits which help companies meet their Corporate Social Responsibility requirements.

Environmental Benefits of Dry Lube include:

-  Product volume reductions of 99%

-  Elimination of water consumption for lubrication requirements

-  Elimination of waste water/detergent mix requiring disposal

-  Reduction in risk of spoilt products

-  Reduction of off-site disposal reducing trade effluent costs

-  Eliminates biocides and halts the growth of bacteria

-  Reduces risk of spillages

Current bottling operating procedures rely on the use of a detergent-based lubricant, the toxicity of which is exacerbated by the use of biocides. This method of operation requires large volumes of water and detergent which is not recycled or reused. The detrimental environmental impact include:

  • High water consumption.
  • Effluent discharge detergent with the associated BOD/COD loading on effluent treatment plant.
  • Increased risk of spillages due to high volumes.
  • Increased safety risk due to spillages on the bottling line floor.
  • Regular cleaning to maintain health and safety standards.
  • Higher energy consumption increasing carbon footprint.
