About the System

About the System

Dry Lube has pioneered a unique dry lubrication system that is used by the Food and beverage industry as a superior replacement for the less effective, more expensive, wet lubrication system.

We have designed our system to deliver maximum operational performance enhancement

Control Cabinet

Our electrical system, lubricant storage and pump are housed within a 316 grade stainless steel cabinet manufactured to comply with IP65 rating and is completely protected from dust and water within the factory environment.

Control System

We use a Micrologix 500 software program to control the operation of our lube system and to ensure that lubrication is applied in the correct volume when and where it is needed. Allen Bradley PLCs are fitted as standard, and we can work with most PLC brands including Siemens. The Dry Lube system can also be integrated or controlled with your factory computer if required.

The electrical equipment is housed in a separate cabinet from the pump and other hydraulic equipment.

Application Method

We combine 2 methods of application to deliver maximum control and performance. We use brushes to directly apply controlled volumes of lubricant evenly across the belt. Our nylon brushes are housed in food grade stainless steel assemblies which are designed for ease of servicing and brush replacement. We can also apply lubricant directly between the belt and the wear strip, this method is proven to reduce conveyor power consumption and increase belt life.

Feed lines

We use high pressure flexible pipe for feed lines to all primary and secondary divider valves. The pipe and valves are rated well above normal operation and safety valve pressure (working pressure 400 bar, burst pressure rating 800 bar).

Lubricant storage

The lubricant is contained in a combined pump and reservoir. The reservoir can hold up to 8 litres of lubricant which is typically sufficient for 2 weeks operation.

Moving on from water.

The Dry Lube system uses no soap and water and works in parallel with existing product lines by applying minute quantities of lubricant to the conveyor belt.

Unlike some other non-water lubrication systems, the oil contains no contaminants or particulates such as PTFE.

Productivity.

We help beverage companies reach new levels of performance via:

  • Lower cost
  • Higher efficiency
  • Meeting Corporate Social Responsibility mandates
  • Improving health and safety

This is achieved with minimal disruption to production.

Food Safety.

The Dry Lube system has been tested extensively and is certified by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) International to a minimum of H1, suitable for incidental food contact as a safe product in food, beverage brewing and dairy industries.
