Dry Lube’s lubrication system comprises three elements:
- A control cabinet which houses the lubricant and manages dosing
- Wear strip lubrication through inserts
- Belt lubrication by brush.

Dosing volume and rate is controlled from our central control cabinet which also houses the 8L lubricant reservoir and pump.
A programmable logic controller (PLC) enables our engineers to set lubricant dosage volumes and frequency on a zone by zone basis to effectively manage different coefficients of friction along the conveyor.
One cabinet measuring 600mm high by 900mm wide can satisfy a 450 belt packaging line.
Wear Strip Lubrication
We apply lube between the underside of the belt strip and the wear strip through ‘inserts’ which are installed into the equipment. This helps to reduce friction levels and provides a layer of protection to the belt.
At the same time, concentrated lubricant is secreted onto a soft bristle brush, causing the bristles to become dowsed in lube. This allows for an even coating of lubricant across the entire conveyor belt. Because optimal volumes are set by your Dry Lube engineer on the PLC, just enough lube is dispensed meaning no excess will end up on the floor.
Brush quality is maintained by your Dry Lube engineer who cleans and replaces brushes during their service maintenance visits.
