The Request:

CCHBC Romania is committed to conducting its business in ways that protect, preserve & enhance the environment.  In line with this philosophy, the Production Manager at CCHBC’s Ploiesti plant wanted to introduce a dry lubrication system that would eradicate the use of soap and water as a lubricant whilst maintaining production levels & bottling efficiency. 

The Solution:

Dry Lube’s engineers designed Dry Lube systems that met the requirements of the bottling plant.  All of CCHBC Romania’s plants have received The Coca-Cola Company’s Environmental Management System “eKOsystem” certification and it was important that the Dry Lube system helped to maintain this standard.

The Result:

Dry Lube successfully installed systems at the Ploiesti plant in January 2007.  Dry Lube systems were subsequently installed on the production lines at the Timisoara plant.  As a result of the fantastic benefits seen by employees at the Ploiesti & Timisoara plants, CCHBC Romania extended the contract with Dry Lube to include production lines at their water bottling plant in Dorna.

Since then all three plants have benefited from a number of improvements;

• Bottle handling - Figures taken from the Ploiesti plant have shown a 73% reduction in fallen bottles since Dry Lube systems were installed. 
• Regular service visits – Dedicated Dry Lube engineers visit all three plants regularly to carry out routine maintenance.  In addition, our network of engineers allows us to respond quickly to any ad hoc requests.
• Motor checks – The service to CCHBC Romania includes motor checks.  This is extremely beneficial to maintenance & has shown that Dry Lube’s lubricant reduces load on motors & therefore extends the life of the motor.
• Minimum disruption – All installations & additional work to lines has been completed with minimum disruption to the production plan.

CCHBC Romania have also experienced all the usual benefits of Dry Lube such as improved safety due to no water on the bottling hall floors, reduced lubrication costs and increased productivity.
